Chickenpox - vaccination
The chickenpox (varicella) vaccine is a series of two vaccines that can protect nearly everyone from contracting chickenpox. The first should be given at the age of 12-18 months and the second vaccine should be given between 4-6 years of age. Older children and adults should have two vaccines as well, with the second vaccine occurring at least 28 days after the first.
